Child Passenger Safety Week 2026 takes place September 20–26, giving parents and caregivers an opportunity to review car seat safety and make sure children are properly secured.

What Is Child Passenger Safety Week?

National Child Passenger Safety Week is an annual campaign designed to raise awareness about the proper use and installation of car seats, booster seats, and other child restraints.

This year’s Child Passenger Safety Week runs from September 20–26, 2026, followed by National Seat Check Saturday on September 26.

It’s a good reminder to check your child’s seat, especially if they’ve recently grown, you’ve purchased a new car seat, or you’ve switched vehicles.
